I truly enjoyed playing on this remix version of the classic Beggin.

If you want to know more about the history of this amazing song, you can read here below directly from WikiPedia:

“Beggin'” is a song composed by Bob Gaudio and Peggy Farina and popularized by The Four Seasons in 1967. The song was popular on the Northern soul scene in England in the 1970s.

In 2007, the song received new popularity when it was remixed by the French DJ Pilooski and then covered by the Norwegian hip-hop band Madcon, whose version topped the charts in Norway, France, the Netherlands, and Wallonia. In 2007, the same year as the Pilooski remix, the Norwegian hip-hop group Madcon recorded and released a new version of the song with tweaked lyrics and added rap verses.

This version became very popular in Norway, reaching number one on the VG-lista chart for 12 nonconsecutive weeks. Madcon’s version of the song is a total re-recording, all instruments were performed by the production team, 3Elementz, and all vocals by Madcon.

The single received the “Hit of the Year” Spellemannprisen award and also became popular throughout Europe; in France, the Netherlands, and the Wallonia region of Belgium, it peaked at number one. It also reached number five in the United Kingdom and number seven in Germany. The song appeared in the live finale of season 3 of America’s Best Dance Crew in which finalist Beat Freaks and Quest Crew performed together. It was also used in the episode “Battle Scars” of season 6 of CSI: NY and in the “Meet the Top 20” episode of So You Think You Can Dance. The song was also used in the dance movies Step Up 3D and StreetDance 3D, in addition to the trailer for the 2011 raunchy comedy Bad Teacher , and the movie Just Go With It.

The music video features Yosef Wolde-Mariam and Tshawe Baqwa in a mix of Blaxploitation-scenes and dozing off while playing Halo 3 and was directed by Christian Holm-Glad.
